Only sparkling wine that actually comes from the Champagne region may be called champagne.
In the case of the Castellane, that is fine.
This champagne house comes from the town of Épernay, the beating heart of Champagne.
Founded in 1895 by Count Florens de Castellane who also had the famous turret of the winery built.
This chic sparkling wine is a blend of 35% chardonnay, 35% pinot noir and 30% pinot meunier.
The wine ages in the bottle for 24 months before appearing on the shelf. You can taste the taste of apple with white flowers and freshly baked bread.
It is refined and elegant, serve the Castellane Brut in combination with shellfish and crustaceans or with antipasti.
Also perfectly suited as an aperitif wine.
